Hello, and welcome to my Embellished Page studio, nestled in the woods in Gibsons, BC, on the beautiful Sunshine Coast.
I’ve been a calligrapher for more years than I care to mention, and have been designing graphics and websites since 2005. A couple of years ago I fell in love with WordPress and now use it exclusively for my web and blog work, along with Genesis or Thesis frameworks for great search engine optimization (SEO).
I use Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Painter. While I used to work with DreamWeaver, I now use WordPress exclusively for my website designs. With WordPress, clients who want to update their own sites can do so, adding in pages, posts, graphics and media on their own schedule. And for those who would rather avoid the small technicalities that any web updates require, I’m there to help!
When I’m not working on my Mac, I can probably be found snapping photos, working in the garden, singing a few jazz tunes with my favourite guitarist, or working on print products for my Zazzle and CafePress print stores.

What’s In A Name?
From Webster’s Dictionary:
Embellish \Em*bel”lish\, v. t.
To make beautiful or elegant by ornaments; to decorate; to adorn; as, to embellish a book with pictures, a garden with shrubs and flowers, a narrative with striking anecdotes, or style with metaphors.
Given my long history with calligraphy and other artistic pursuits, and inspired by the above Webster’s definition, I named my studio The Embellished Page. If you’re looking for a streamlined, spare look, don’t worry … I can do those too !
